Marisa Prefer is a landscape steward, herbalist and ecologist who cultivates care among multi-species communities. Marisa is an alumni of the Urban Design Forum’s Forefront Fellowship, a DSNY Master Composter, a New York City Parks Super Steward, a Certified Community Pruner and has partnered on projects with cultural and horticultural institutions such as the Alice Austen House, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Public Library, Earth Matter, the High Line, the New York Hall of Science, Socrates Sculpture Park, Pioneer Works and the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School.
